Established in 2013, BlackRidge Labradors started in Washington and is now based in Southern Idaho. We are very excited about our growing kennel as we continue to build and expand from not just the conformation show ring(s), but onto other endeavors such as Dock Diving, Fast Cat, Rally, and Scent Work (to name a few).
All BlackRidge Labs receive yearly CAER eye exams, as well as have their hips and elbow x-rays completed (to check for dysplasia). The exam results can be found on their OFA page(s). We are proud to say that all our Labs are health tested to ensure the quality and overall health of our Labs. We do DNA testing for the most common Labrador Retriever diseases (such as EIC, DM, CMN, HNPK, PRA-PRCD) and to rule out the dilute gene. You can see all our test results on Paw Print Genetics. Concerning the dilute gene, we breed according to the standard established by the Labrador Retriever Club and the AKC. BlackRidge Labradors are only Black, Yellow and Chocolate.
